Harris Teeter Farmer's Market

Our newest venture is taking off quickly and we would like to thank Meriwhether Godsey, Guilford College, and Harris Teeter for sponsoring our Feed The Hungry initiative.  Students from Guilford College and North Carolina A&T  are working with Volunteer In Your Community Inc. to help feed people living in poverty with food donated by Meriwheter Godsey and Harris Teeter.  If you are interested in volunteering please email volunteersinc@gmail.com  We serve and prepare meals every Tuesday and Friday from 3-5 and we are looking to expand. This program started on September 25,2010 and so far we have made over 1000 meals!!!!  There is a need in our communities for healthy food and we are pleased to help some of the issues surrounding hunger in the Greensboro area.  Eventually our goal is to open a Campus Kitchens (SM) at Guilford College and at NCA&T.  To learn more about the Campus Kitchens Project visit http://www.campuskitchens.org/national/
